Welcome to the Loire and welcome to Cabernet Franc. Earthy, crunchy and extremely juicy, we feel it is a hugely underrated grape by the wine-drinking public and so we wanted to bring a sensational expression of it to you.
Domaine Guion has been certified organic since 1965 so we’re basically dealing with trailblazers here. Not only is this organic, it’s biodynamic, meaning the movement of the moon and sun has been factored in to how carefully these vines have been farmed. Packed full of delicious cherry and blackberry with layers of wild herbs, forest floor and cracked pepper, the result is Cabernet Franc at its finest and you’d be mad not to try it.
Why Deux Monts? It means two mountains (more like hills in the Loire). Why two hills? We assume the vines these grapes are from are carefully selected from two separate hills but we’re visiting the vineyard to find out – watch this space…
