For foodies Northern Portugal is a destination with the city of Porto (surrounded by the Vinho Verde region) growing in popularity and rivalling the capital Lisbon for visitors, In this northern city served alongside many of the delicacies such as Polvo (octopus salad) is this refreshing white wine. This particular bottle is made from a very rare grape called Avesso which has only recently been cultivated to make wines as a single variety. It has a distinct minerality to it as well as delicious crisp apple, stone fruit and citrus flavours. Every care is taken to retain freshness and the character of the fruit in the winemaking process so what lands in your glass feels like an authentic taste of the Portuguese landscape. ‘Leme’ have it!
